Day 206, Rainy day, Shower thermostatic valve installation, V-berth (last piece, small pillow insert), Drawers stoppers, Finisted Fixed ports, ignition switch.

Shower Thermostatic valve installed. Button is to ope/close shower, and regulator is supposed to control water temperature. so far water is running and not leaking. Short glance under sink. Connection hoses have synthetic cover, hopefully will not disintegrate fast.     Fixed windows last touches. Painted frames inside in black to mach with silicon.  V-berth. Last touch here too. Rebuilt triangle insert and made a pillow for it. Put hinges on the bottom locker at cabinet and found the locker opening may play as step for V berth. BUT, it will be nice to make a step sliding out when door opened.  Head Added handles to head door, For now they are mounted on VHB tape.  Door, View from inside Door, view from outside Replaced drawer stoppers. LPG solenoid controller, ready for installation.

Day 205, Fixed windows trim frames, finishing AC cabinet, 12V outlets installation, several small things complete.

Day 206, New Fixed windows trim installation.   Interior (small things) Fixed windows  New trim around fixed windows made out of teak and installed. each trim piece made of 4 parts. all cut on my workshop CNC out of teak wood. Only thing left here - paint the gap between window and trim.    Other things done today Made and  installed Door-cover under the AC inlet. LPG sensor - alarm installed. I installed the alarm ind found it is alarming all time. I am pretty sure I have no LPG on the board.  I bought the sensor several years ago, and it was on the boat all the time and likely was "poisoned" by paint thinners fumes. Ordering a replacement. Other small things Replaced engine overheat dumb lamp fixture (original had rubber disintegrated) .   In attempt to tight engine (ignition) switch  I broke it, by break line it was cracked for a while.  Good to get it broken at the dock ;-)   Connected compass light back, added connector f...

Day 204, Hatches covers, Cabin table, sealing fixed windows screws, fixed windows trim, hatches wells painting.

Deck Hatch covers snaps installed. yes, I bite bullet, and drilled deck and installed snaps for hatch covers. Unfortunately it may lead to minor leakages after years, but i want to add covers to make hatches lenses lats longer as well add little shade in Texas sun. Hatches covers.  Interior Hatches Another compromise. When I installed for hatches frames I planned to make insert frames to cover gap between ceiling trim and hatches. Unfortunately, I had a lot of other things to do and they sill not be finished. Actually to put trim I need to make new trim frames around hatches wells, but i decided to leave it for future, but gap between lest unfinished rough fiberglass, so FOR now i decided just paint it to make it not so sore for eyes. It is only first layer of plaint on the picture. Second was added at the next day. Hatch from inside Fixed windows trim.  Before start cutting real wood (teak) I have made two templates with 20mm and 30mm corners radius to dry fit shape to ...

Mast, sails. Preparing to sail lake in 2 weeks. Mast stays well, all stays tighten, and adjusted, Furler fixed. Put Genoa back after furler and front stay repair.  Repaired the sail, it had teared umbrella cover and some stitches in spreaders touching area area. now it looks like new. And, yes 34' boat Genoa is a big cloth! Furler tested, works well everything is moving as expected.      Mast top Had one more travel to mast top, it is very simple with  permanent steps. As part of sail day I planned in two weeks, I would like to install Windex,  installing windex i need to make sure VHF antenna is not interfering with it, so install antenna as well, but antenna cable is very old and not good to be used any more, so I replaced cable as well to molded in connector on the mast top. Windex installed Windows Long day - Route new openings for 5  windows.    I used CNC machined template to cut openings with proper angle to horizon. Template is made f...
