Day 82, 3/25 finishing laminate buildup on starboard, glassing ice chest back to hull, building and mounting "shelf" for refrigerator compressor, sidewalls for starboard cabinets. 9 hours.

Hull Completed rebuild of delamination fix on starboard side. Located in starboard cockpit locker.   Refrigerator Picture for memo. How wires have to be connected. Drilled hole for evaporator pipes into ice chest and built shelf for refrigerator. (red and blue pipes are for water ;) ) Glassed shelf from bottom side and to hull in 3 directions. reglassed connection between ice chest and hull. To be continued... Review exhaust hose connection on transom   Interior Starboard cabinets, back walls and hull insolation. Galley Removed plywood build around galley window. found completely rotted out window frame. Plywood removed. Alot of extra space for electrical panel and ice chest access found. Just aft view on cabin today.

Day 81, 3/11 Galley and main cabin starboard cabinets walls making and glassing. Cockpit bulkheads tabbing, hull delamination fix.

Interior Set 5 minor walls for  galley cabinets and starboard storage over settee. made front panels.   To make tabbing in preside position i hot-glued wood blocks on bottom and top and then tabbed walls to the hull, inliner and deck. Next step - cut openings for the cabinets doors Structural.  Starboard cockpit locker area repair. Re-glassing two walls and rebuild de-laminated area on the hull.  Interior. Found nice bamboo roulette door ;-) in ikea   Prototyping Roulette type doors for cabinets.  Door type#1 (for head  cabinet) there enough space to accommodate door horizontally. Made model from old plywood left-overs, full scale model works well.   For other places need to hide door somewhere. Rail for this case.

Day 51, 10/8, Stanchions re-install, wind instrument holder complete. 8 hours

Stanchions How it should be made  Picture from Irwin site. Construction problems:  Stanchions are empty pipes - and water can easy get in it Water is running down to wood block. Woodblock has no drain, so water collects there and problem is not visible until it rotted completely. Pipe is welded to flange but tot as continues line and has some gaps as well. Flange mounted with short food screws  to the deck.   What was found:    During manufacturing workers messed the design and drilled holes in about 1" farther from hull edge, as result pipes did not went to the wood blocks and appeared "in the air". To hide this they added nice laminate but did not fill it and just sick some not even soaked fiber cloth. Also this mistake resulted  the sealant has to be filled in cavity bout 1/4 inch  between flange and deck, it was also point leading to failure. Previous owner tried to screw stanchions to toe rail adding some bracket , but it did not hel...

Day 18-19, 4/9/22 Starboard deck fairing (cycle 3 and protective paint), Stanchions, Bulkhead tabbing, Fixed ports, 10 hours

Starboard deck  Finished deck fairing and painted with gelcoat for protection. Just  protection reason final fearing will be done during deck painting prep. <<TODO: Final picture to add>>> Chainplates  Drilled holes and put all new chainplate mount bolts  Starboard bulkhead Starboard bulkhead tabbed to hull on both sides of bulkhead . Used 2 layers of 1708 and 1 layer 24oz Woven Roving using Epoxy resin  Stanchions  Cut original mount out on starboard aft stanchion. No leftover wood found. Found a pretty strange stanchion flange shape. It has 3mm step on one side.  Looks like it was designed to overlay toe rail, but holes were drilled in the wrong place. I built new oak wood block drilled oversized hole for the stanchion pipe, infill it with a structural putty, than drill it back again to make plastic touch the metal only. then install it back to hull with the same structural putty following fiberglassing it to the hull side. 2 layers og...

Day 15, 2/19/22 DECK re-coreing step 3, fibergass gaps. 7 hours

Starboard deck re-coring Everything ready to re-fiberglass gaps    Fibeglassed - easy to say, but it is 4 hours of pretty nasty work.  No-skid deck template  it is nice pattern, but to redo it back on the repaired area will be kind of not simple job. I have made mold  using existing deck, mold release agent, gelcoat and fiberglass. So, put mold release agent to deck, then paint with gelcoat, then put one layer of 1708 over. Unfortunately for me i took only finishing gelcoat from home,so i decided do not wait gelcoat to set in full, because NOTHING to sand, so i laminated it as soon as it turned to gel phase. Unfortunately it did not gelled everywhere and it started to flake mix with resin i put over, so did some mess. likely need to do it again. But it looks not bad even now. Original Deck surface "Negative " home made mold surface Chainplates "humps"  for the deck machined from G10 material, 2 installed, 2 need to install Starboard bulkhead, dry fit...
