Day 173 10/26/24 Engine oil change, Exhaust sustem inspection , cabin table dry fit, old cabin sole plywood demolishing
I planned a long, productive day, but it appeared a very short, However some things was done.
Interior
Cabin sole
Cabin sole floor demolishing started. leftovers of water damaged plywood removed from the front cabin. My younger son helped a lot.
Main cabin and galley left to do.
We found the original Teak&holy floor was just decorative, it was 1/4" thick or even thinner.
<<picture will update later>>
I am looking for options to make PVC flooring, likely I will do it with rigid locking planks, like laminate floor, but PVC
Cabin table
Checked how it fits the slipping place to be set as sleeping platform.
It is nice, is not? However when I made it I did "little improvement", I mare corners radius the same and make exact 90 degrees corner. Now I know I had to make it EXACT as original one. I appeared it does not fit to place as it should to be a part of sleeping platform. It has a 1/2" gap and holding ribs are about 3/4, so, it will not sit tightly.
Engine
Exhaust
I checked the exhaust piping construction. I is made out of 1-1/2 black metal (likely water plumbing) pipes.
Does it work - sure, will it work for a while, maybe.
Is mixing "elbow" works great? maybe :-) But i do not like it.
May I redo it... maybe, later - likely.
Dimensions, just in case.
