New Mainsail. Part 1

 New mainsail

I did long shoot and decided to use Far east sail loft to design and make my new mainsail.

Measurements i did on the boat and I hope I did not make any big mistake I would regret

What I changed for new sail:

• 4 reefs, yes 4 reefs, maybe 4-th is not the thing I would use  in my life, but better to have it than not.
• 1.2"  shorter on Luff then spec.
• Max leech set to lift "relaxed" boom 5" higher vs horizontal to be able to set dodger
• Also i made foot shorter for 3" to accommodate pair of pulleys for outhull. ( i decided to have better control (and shape) over sail surface. Maybe i am wrong, but it is my decision,
• I selected modern high UV stable cloth Fastnet 7.88 from Challange Sailcloth

  

 

 

4 weeks after I paid deposit and several  e-mails exchange i was told my sail is almost ready to be shipped.
