Wind instrument
Wind instrument prepared to be installed on mast top.
Small white box is WIFI camera looking ahead from mast top height. view angle is 120 degrees.
It take about 20mA power at 12V, so I combined it's power with instruments lines.
Mount was made about year ago
To install it I need to drill hole in the top joining plate and tap thread there to crew the mount on the top of mast. Shape of mount was made to sit tight on the vertical bars and be screwed by one screw sitting vertically.
Installation did not went easy, first day, my friend did his best (he is better fit to climb on the mast) to help me, but it appeared it was first thread tapping in his life. So we resulted with broken tap on the top of the mast.
Next day I went up , he spare me down. I broke tap to flush and drilled hole 10mm forward, tap, screwed as everything was planned.
BUT.... we spent about 2 hours to fish wire down through the mast. Cable itself is no heavy enough, and as well it is tending to touch something inside ans start coiling there. Hole in the mast top is slightly bigger than cable. maybe about 6-7mm diameter.
We found way to do. Use long 10" drill-bit as wight, grooves in drill bit appeared excellent to hide tiny wire ind fish "weight" and wire through the hole.
Inverter battery switch
I have installed 3KW inverter and Li battery. All works good. BUT I want to have battery switch to this "sweet couple". And when i first try to connect battery to inverter i found the battery BMS shut battery off due to very high current spike happens due to inverter input capacitors charge.
So, i need to charge capacitors first then switch power on. So I added button and 100R resistor in parallel of main switch. also connected LED showing voltage across the resistor.
So, now i can use battery switch, but need to "prime" inverter before applying power to inverter.
"Prime" means press button and wait until LED get off.
New power switch panel made and dry fitted.
Big cockpit screen
Found an issue, someting pressing LCD from the back side and resulting mechanical stress for the screen. It is not good. I found it. It is USB extender box stuck between plywood and display back.
I cut the hole to take strain off. Work was like digging field mine. I need cut plywood, but do not brake into adapter. So, I little scratched it, but it still be functional.
Next time will make and add nice cover.Interior
Made and added small wooden collar around tubing on galley countertop.
Made them in 2 sizes, exact and +0.5mm bigger
+0.5mm works great.
Deck
Hatches replacement preparation.
Will put more information next week.
