 Front chainplate

SURPRISE! Irvin welded pice of SS rod to the CHAINPLATE!!

It is original. I am in shock.

Investigated how to replace it, but even more questions than answers.

All bow area nuts are in 1.5m from very small door in v-berth corner. even hard to see them, not talking how to put them there or screw them,

Electric system.

One more surprise!

Figured out original wiring is going on starboard side, then turn and coming back on port side. WHY!?

Companionway hatch slides

Re-bedded companionway slides. Looks like deck paining will not happened before october-november, so need to put them properly.

Engine

Rechecked tachometer port thread plug diameter and depth. D=17.7 OD (looks like M18, but who knows). Depth to flywheel gear - 26.4 mm

Checked oil levels - all ok.

Suffing box clamps replaced to use ones without through slots for screw, just stamped.

Transmission, cotter pin lock. Put ring there.

Checked engine Zinks - loos like ~50% left over. So far so good. But better to have 22mm wrench.

Winches

just for history. Main winches - Lewmar 25???

Steering

Checked, tighten all screws... Almost all screws were not tight. Also tighten cable. So it is good for now, but i still worry about port side block: mounded on plate and set on place only by corner.

Topsides

Sanded scratches and put putty over. No de-lamination found.

Next time putty will be sanded, then will se do we need to put more or just prime it.

Deck

Sanded packed holes from cabin top handles. and took out "eyebrow" wooden plank over the top of cabin, countersinked holes and stuffed with thickened epoxy. Next time to sand and clean from caulking leftovers.  Filled screw holes around cockpit drain.

Checked if I can put direct drains to bottom without taking boat from water. ;) looks so!

Water system

Filled small water tank. plugged hoses in toilet, checked fresh water and sump. all works well. Little bit too much leftover in sump but ok. NEED to put cover over.

Windows

Measured plywood pieces for windows.

Electronic wind instrument

Made mast side fiberglass template.
