Days 236 - 242 [16 - 22] Hull, Prep-work-painting, Thru-hulls, Cutless [Updated]

    Dec 20, Sanding topsides Sanding fairing on topsides, a lot of sanding, all guide coat sanded out. Starboard  end of the day pictures. Port side Mixing One more layer of barrier coat, but then realized we need to sand whole bottom, so next layer of barrie rcoat move Second layer of the barrier coat done. Maria is trying painting hood. It appeared WAY too small. ;-) Dec 21 Priming topsides (2 layers in one day)   Maria inspecting the work early morning.    THE LAST blister glassed and putty applied.   Transom required a lot of putty to get good. Not really deep voids, but a lot of shallow imperfections and old fish eyes.    Me sanding transom         Then we sanded barriercoat between layers. Day 235-236 [14-15], Thru-hulls, topsides, One more giant blister found at keel root.

  Topsides  Applied guide-coat, than Vic hand-sanded with long board. In general not so bad, but area patched before (before I bought the boat)  is pretty bumpy.   Starboard was left for next weekend. I sanded all lows and applied fairing compound to port side closer to the end of the Sunday. Transom cleaned from all "toys" and one part paint layer removed, then whole transom surface was sanded to flat. 4 holes from some mounts (I did not found reason to have them), two spots where swimming leader hits transom and place around LPG tank locker ventilation  exits to outside where glassed over.   Blisters. After looking over barrier coat I found small "drips" where hull "crying" in one place right next to stand pad.. Decided to open the blister, and resulted about sq. foot area dipped for 3-4mm  opening ;-( cleaned, force dried and overe-glassed with 3 layers of 1708.
