Day 95. 6/17/24, Galley countertop final installation, Vent installation, LPG drain line fix 12 hours

Image
Galley Countertops and "top" cabinets permanently installed. New faucet set and connected. Made removable shelf over "pumps" compartment. Nice place for trash bin and cleaning supplies. LPG box drain line connection epoxied and glassed with 4-5 layers   Also line secured to locker "bulkhead" (on right) to avoid  movement  leading break again. LPG valve installation.  Deck Vent installed and drain hole added to Dorade box. Electric Galley outlets installed now. 4 outlets :-) << Check picture on the post above>> Made and installed "bottom" plate for distribution panel compartment separating it from engine room. << NO Pictures>> Designed new electrical panel

Day 94. 6/17/23, Galley countertop final dry fit, Embedded refrigerator 12 hours

Image
Refrigerator Built evaporator mount and shelf, Mounted air circulation fan, added one more payer of isolation on the top, foamed all air tight.    Galley  Countertop mount, Sink installation, all inserts fit as it  intended. I made it to keep planks pattern uninterrupted - looks nice, is not? Electric Added temporary switch for navigation lights. Looks like time to build switch panel ;-)

Day 93. 6/10/23, Galley countertop fit to place , Big cockpit display, Cockpit locker 12 hours

Image
Galley  Countertop Pre-work at home: Sink and storage compartments openings routed on CNC. Cut in exact dimensions of sink, 12x12" for storage and 12x16" for refrigerator box lid.   Lids will need gluing frames around to make them "slide fit" on the holes. Need to be done later. Both parts installed and fitted. It is strange but all openings on right places :-)    Biggest worry was the sink may collide with new drawers module. Nope, all good. Routed grooves to set "wall cabinets" sit tight and do good connection to countertop without trim, but looks like trim around door and in connection to next panel will be necessary at any case. Glassing area of exposed foam in aft "wall" cabinet bottom to protect it from water in case if some leakage will  happen.     Yes, it is red, i have very rare red epoxy :-))))) actually it is colored by fast  hardener sit in can for a while. West Systems is calming that color is coming from metal can ov...

Day 92. 6/3/23, Galley countertop dry fit, Big cockpit display, Refrigerator, Cockpit locker, AC air filter cover. 10 hours

Image
Galley Galley countertop dry fit and adjusting to place.  Final edge cut and trimming Electronics/navigation Cockpit display dry fit (50% brightness on picture) Clearly readable.   Frame painted with layer of gelcoat. covering with film to protect from coming rain. Galley  Propane linereplacement. Put a new propane nine. Original one had several connected segments. I think it is not a really good idea. Refrigerator  Foamed gap around ice chest box as much as i can. Added small fan to circulate air inside cooler box, I have got  7C in 3 hours. testing. lowest temperature is 5C. However condenser is really hot (60C at least), likely will add another fan to it to avoid too high temperature difference as to make better efficiency. Air conditioner. Made new teack wood grill  and installed it.
