Day 82, 3/25 finishing laminate buildup on starboard, glassing ice chest back to hull, building and mounting "shelf" for refrigerator compressor, sidewalls for starboard cabinets. 9 hours.

  Hull Completed rebuild of delamination fix on starboard side. Located in starboard cockpit locker.   Refrigerator Picture for memo. How wires have to be connected. Drilled hole for evaporator pipes into ice chest and built shelf for refrigerator. (red and blue pipes are for water ;) ) Glassed shelf from bottom side and to hull in 3 directions. reglassed connection between ice chest and hull. To be continued... Review exhaust hose connection on transom   Interior Starboard cabinets, back walls and hull insolation. Galley Removed plywood build around galley window. found completely rotted out window frame. Plywood removed. Alot of extra space for electrical panel and ice chest access found. Just aft view on cabin today.

Day 81, 3/11 Galley and main cabin starboard cabinets walls making and glassing. Cockpit bulkheads tabbing, hull delamination fix.

   Interior Set 5 minor walls for  galley cabinets and starboard storage over settee. made front panels.   To make tabbing in preside position i hot-glued wood blocks on bottom and top and then tabbed walls to the hull, inliner and deck. Next step - cut openings for the cabinets doors Structural.  Starboard cockpit locker area repair. Re-glassing two walls and rebuild de-laminated area on the hull.  Interior. Found nice bamboo roulette door ;-) in ikea   Prototyping Roulette type doors for cabinets.  Door type#1 (for head  cabinet) there enough space to accommodate door horizontally. Made model from old plywood left-overs, full scale model works well.   For other places need to hide door somewhere. Rail for this case.

Day 80, 3/4 Galley countertop templating, and removing old one. backstay chainplate replacement 8 hours

 Interior Galley countertop and cabinets Original countertop consist of two parts, One with sink and food storage locker lid.   Another one covers ice chest and forms first step of companionway stairs. I have made paper template for whole countertop. I added check dimensions to be able to confirm if template is not deformed when i will lay it on new material. Countertop is removed Back side...   Left side is rotted significantly. At any case i am going to replace it. Structural. Back-stay chainplate replacement.  Old chainplate was done from unknown SS bar, and manufactured very poorly. Pin hole was off center and shifted to the edge. thickness is 3/16" So, I am going up size to 1/4" SS 316 . also installing old plate as backer. Hope it will make some difference to better side. Only thing leave me doubts is fact the plate mounted on transom with 4 x 5/16 countersink bolts (mean screw with hut).  When I started to prepare to work I found the difference in ...
