Things are done since 12/20/23

[Deck] Cabin top, cockpit, decks fixed, patched, refinished and painted with 2 part Interlux Perfection paint and Kiwigrip non-skid. It took 130 hours of work, 19 work days, during 14 weeks deck painting officially done.

[Deck] New aluminum hatches installed. It required rebuilding deck around hatches.

[Deck] New Fixed windows cut with wire flange and to be able to screw them to cabin top,  reinstalled on DOW795 and screws.

[Cabin] Cabin interior varnishing complete.

[Cabin] Portside lockers painted.

[Cabin] Refinished companion way steps

[Cabin] Put covers on cockpit display back and inverter/charger locker.

[Cabin] Head door installed.

[Cabin] added support planks for refrigerator lid. (small thing).

[Cabin] Slide drawer installed in galley under starboard cockpit sit.

[Electric] Fresh water and Black water tank level indicators installed.  

[Electric] Mast wiring tided up and mast cables gland installed.

[Electric] Replaced all battery cables with right marine grade wires.

[Electric] Installed new battery switches.

[Electric] Battery charge isolator to charge batteries from alternator.

[Electric] Battery monitors installed and monitor display connected.

[Electric] Installed Shore DC power supply.

[Electric] Installed 3KW inverter and lithium 2.5KWh “inverter” battery.

[Electric] Added buzzer on main bilge pump circuit.

[Navigation] Installed RPi based Openplotter and display on nav desk.

[Navigation] Added display signal splitter to duplicate image between Cockpit screen and nav desk.

[Navigation] Mast top wind instruments and Wifi camera installed and connected to Openplotter

[Navigation] Depth finder and log connected to open plotter

[Navigation] Autopilot rudder drive and rudder angle sensor installed and connected.

Day 183 1/5/25 Take engine home.

Engine Take engine from the boat and move to home garage. Easy to say, hard to do. Water level in the lake now is 40ft below normal level. And total height drop between parking lot and docks about 70-80ft.  Marina has no lift, ramp or crane to move something more than 200 lb up way. Only way is very long stairs with 140 steps.   View form the parking lot...    Staircase we climbed up. Yes, you can see the lift, but it is only 200lb capacity and no way to use. Picture was made on the middle of the process. Based on engine spec it has to weight 400 lb. It is a lot but should be more or less bearable weight for 3-4 people. Challenge was accepted, but looks like it is heavy enough to do a problem ;-) Moving from boat to dock was very easy, just hook chain hoist to boom lift it  and swing boom to the dock. put on a dolly and roll it to staircase. After an hour of planning we (My son and I) decided to use blocks and ropes to slide it up. We mounted engine on the plywo...

Day 138, 4/6, Deck priming, 2 days, 8 hours total

 Deck Spent a day to wipe all to clean, then de-greaser, then solvent, and then priming.  Surface area is not too big, but still be ~400 sq.ft.    I did wiping and cabin top at one day, cockpit and area next to toe rails in second one. Primed only area plan to paint glossy. non-skid paint does not require priming, just washing with detergent, but it will be later.  Observed two problems  first - rolling and tipping leaving brush marks  even when 25% solvent added. Second - (actually helps to maintain first) I need second layer because  one layer of primekote does not covering well. So, I plan one more gallon of primer and one mode day to of sanding and one more day of priming.   End of day1     End of day 2
