Day 154, 6/22/24 New companionway hatch, windlass mount base dryfit, Autopilot sea trail 4 hours then 4 hours sail.

Deck  New companionway hatch made and installed. New teak handle, 12mm plexiglass piece and stoppers  assembled. Fresh refinished cover (little bit visible under traveler) is sealed and screwed down on place. Difference from original, New acrylic glass instead of  heavy UV damaged one after 40 years serve, I replaced wooden stopper inside the cover to HDPE plastic blocks from bottom and top side. Now cover has no way to be pulled out completely  and find way over the board,  also stoppers  will not rot out in humid covered space under cover.   Windlass First version of mounting plate for windlass. Dry fit test shown the windlass itself must be moved 25mm toward port side to align chain with windlass. Also i decided to eliminate front piece  and leave just the "bridge". To be continued. Day 153, 6/15/24 Work on small things , 4 hours then 4 hours sail to the lake.

JUST small things and fun. Installed Barton winchers on main winches, Reinstalled engine room vent duct, Installed 3d Printed Horizon MD150 cover, Refilled water tank, installed tie anchors in v-berth to tie stuff boxes against movement, dry fitted bow roller and marked mount points, dry fitted windlass base and marked it.

  Things are done since 12/20/23 [Deck] Cabin top, cockpit, decks fixed, patched, refinished and painted with 2 part Interlux Perfection paint and Kiwigrip non-skid. It took 130 hours of work, 19 work days, during 14 weeks deck painting officially done. [Deck] New aluminum hatches installed. It required rebuilding deck around hatches. [Deck] New Fixed windows cut with wire flange and to be able to screw them to cabin top,   reinstalled on DOW795 and screws. [Cabin] Cabin interior varnishing complete. [Cabin] Portside lockers painted. [Cabin] Refinished companion way steps [Cabin] Put covers on cockpit display back and inverter/charger locker. [Cabin] Head door installed. [Cabin] added support planks for refrigerator lid. (small thing). [Cabin] Slide drawer installed in galley under starboard cockpit sit. Day 152, 6/7/24 Deck painting officially done, HW reinstalled, biminitop installed back, 8 hours total

 Deck Put All cockpit hardware back. Ready to get for sail. Just need to take care about lines. Refitted Bimini top canvas and reinstall bimini. Cockpit waits for crew :) Sealed gap between companionway trim and fiberglass. Bow roller and windlass I cut out starboard side bow roller plate to make space for "real" anchor bow roller. New chain bow roller VERY dry fit.Original one was ok for rope, but no way to use with chain. Took chain locker measurements.     

Day 150-151, 6/1 and 6/2/24 Final painting day, 8 hours total

Deck  After 130 hours of work, 19 work days, during 14 weeks deck painting officially done. Deck paining Picture of the day Deck painting officially finished.  Bow area left not finished due to windlass installation planned for later time this year. Beside it, deck is spiracle new. Couple more pictures.   Hardware reinstall Reinstalled pushpit rails, and cleats.
